Kountry Kids Preschool 

is passionate about helping to

guide young children through their

early childhood development years

 with a stable, enriching

and loving environment.

The overall goal of our approach

is to instill a "love for learning" in  

every child in a fun and educational

 way that meets their individual needs.

Denise Ecroyd:

Owner/Director/Teacher

Education: I graduated from Sonora High in 1989. I then attended Columbia College where I graduated with honors with an AA degree in Liberal Studies, an AS degree in Child Development and a certificate in Child Development. I currently hold a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.

Family: I have been married since December 1989 to my wonderful and supportive husband, Jeff. We have two sons, Joseph and Jacob and enjoy spending time together camping, boating, fishing, going to the beach and riding ATV's.

  Ann Voorhies

(AKA - 'Grandma Ann' as the children lovingly call her)

 Retired on call substitute teacher. Employed since 1986

Education: I graduated from Pleasant Hill High School and took Child Development classes at both Columbia and Cerro Coso College. I currently hold a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit and have 26 ECE units.

Family: I have two daughters, Denise (see info above) and Jamie and 5 grandsons who I enjoy spending time with. I also enjoy outside activities such as camping and fishing.

 Michael Rainbolt

Cook/Janitor/Teachers aide. Employed since 2009

Education: I graduated from Sonora High in 2010. I have 12 ECE units and  am currently enrolled in more at Cerro Coso college.

Family:  In addition to my mom, dad and two younger brothers I also have a fiance, Stephanie, who is also a teacher here at Kountry Kids. I have a dog, Shadow, and two iganus.  I enjoy spending time outdoors and with family and friends.

  Sandy Cooper

Teacher. Employed from 1993-95 & 2005 to present.

Education: I graduated from Manteca High School and attended Child Development classes at both Columbia and Cerro Coso Colleges. I currently hold a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit and have 23 ECE units.

Family: I have been with my husband, Richard, since 1993 and together we have two boys, Bryan and Gabriel. I have one daughter, Stephanie, (her father passed away when she was two) and she is mom to my first grandson, Cooper. We enjoy spending time together camping, boating and riding ATV's .

Stephanie Harami

Teacher. Employed since 2010

Education: I graduated from Sonora High School in 2010. I have 12 ECE units and I am currently enrolled in more at Cerro Coso College. I am also a licensed Cosmotologist.

Family:  In addition to my mom, dad and older brother I have a fiance, Michael, who also works here at Kountry Kids. I enjoy spending time outdoors and with family and friends.

 Melissa Hallmeyer

Teacher. Employed since 2011

Education: I graduated from Sonora High School in 2010. I am currently enrolled at Columbia College where I will graduate in th Spring of 2012 with an A.S. in child development. I started at Kountry Kids as an ROP student in my senior year of high school and decided that a career in preschool was what I wanted to do.

Family: In addition to my mom, dad and older brother I have a boyfriend, Joseph, who also works here at Kountry Kids and whose mother, Denise, is the owner. I enjoy traveling, reading and quilting as well as spending time wth family and friends.

Joseph Ecroyd

Teacher. Employed since 2010

Education: I graduated from Sonora High School in 2009. I am currently enrolled at Columbia College where I am finishing my General Education. I have 15 ECE units at this time and will have completed more by the time I graduate from Columbia College.

Family: In addition to my mom, dad, and younger brother, I have a girlfriend, Melissa, who is also a teacher here at Kountry Kids. I enjoy spending time outside doing activities such as camping, fishing, water-skiing, riding my wave runner and riding my motorcycle. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
